The Project Performance Report is one of the accountability requirements for school communities who have received funding under the Investing in Our Schools Programme.
It is a mandatory requirement for School Parent Bodies (SPBs) and all Government School Community Organisations (GSCOs) to submit a project performance report. See Programme Guidelines Appendix 2, Accounting for Grants.
It is a requirement under the funding agreement that all schools who accept funding from the Investing in Our Schools Programme submit a Project Performance Report. The report forms part of the grant acquittal process and also supplies the DEEWR with information regarding the completion of projects and the differences the IOSP funding is making to schools and school communities.
All school communities who received IOSP funding, whether as a Government School Community Organisation or School Parent Body, will need to complete the online project performance report which is accessed through https://iios.dest.gov.au/IOSP/AccessPoint/
Yes, the DEEWR will write to the principal to advise them about the IOSP project(s) for which the school community needs to complete a project a Project Performance Report.
The projects for which Project Performance Reports are required will be shown against your school’s record on the IOSP Access Point website.
The report should be filled out by either the Principal or a Parent representative from the school who has some knowledge of the original application.
Yes. It is a requirement that you fill out a report on each of the projects funded at your school. This is because different projects funded under IOSP may have different outcomes and benefits.
Yes, if the project details appear on the IOSP Access Point website. However if your project is not yet complete, you will only need to answer the first few questions. At the time the project reaches completion the school principal or community representative will need to revisit the Access Point website and finalise the Project Performance Report.
If your project has changed since it was approved you must contact the DEEWR to seek a project variation. Examples of situations where a school should apply for a variation are:
- the location of works has moved to a different area of the school - if it is a construction project
- the numbers or types of products have changed - if it is a procurement project
- changing the scope of the project
Please contact the DEEWR Helpline on 1300 363 079 for information on how to submit a variation to DEST.
No. If your school community is a GSCO and the approved project is for more than $50,000 you will have received an advance payment with the balance of funding due upon sending a Project Progress Report to DEEWR. If the GSCO has not yet provided DEEWR with a Project Progress Report they will not have received their full grant amount. You will need to wait until after the second payment is made. Therefore submission of a Project Performance Report for that project will not be required until after the second payment is made.
The funding agreement for your project specifies that completion and return of this form is mandatory. If you do not return the report the Minister may seek recovery of funds for the project and your future applications for schools grant programs may be affected.
